TAKING TIME TO CREATE THE BEST EXPERIENCE
We’re committed to updating not just the Living and Family Grace Group workbooks, but the Grace Group experience.
what does this mean?
#1 - NEW YEAR, NEW WORKBOOKS!
The launch of our updated Grace Group workbooks has been moved from August 2019 to January 2020. The process is going really well! Yet, upon further review we realized the whole Grace Group experience needed an update, an overall upgrade. We need more time to do this well.
#2 - EASIER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
We noticed that the training process was still a little too much for some and confusing for others. So, we’re working on acquiring a new platform that will allow for a more seamless training process and additional opportunities, including certification for those who complete the training (Grace Group Facilitators) and simpler navigation between the training videos and Grace Group Facilitator support videos and resources. AND still keep it all FREE!
#3 - INNOVATIVE CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
The most common feedback we’ve received from our focus groups and others was to tone down the “mental health” language. We’ve been through many rounds of edits to ensure we’re getting the right language that validates the experience, not just reinforcing a clinical diagnosis. The curriculum will have great science, faith, and tools, but we think the new language will help participants feel more comfortable. In addition, this new language should also help the church (and church leaders) have better understanding and feel more confident promoting the groups within the church.
#4 - A SURPRISE RESOURCE
The big surprise is that we are working on a “Grace Group 2” workbook. We know that everyone will be asking for another resource after they finish going through the newly updated Living and Family Grace workbooks. So, we’re developing a second workbook that can be used on a continuous loop. “Grace Group 2” will be based on the research principles behind mental health resilience and what helps life go from well-being to “more-being.” Each chapter will have an evidenced-based principle, supporting scriptures to choose from, and guided questions for creative and empowering dialogues. When you loop back through to the same principle, choose a different scripture and the conversation can steer in a different direction and unique perspective. We need time to create this additional resource and deepen the Grace Group experience.
#5 - YOUR INVOLVEMENT
We want you involved in the development process! When we have a good working draft later this summer (2019), we will make a PDF copy with 2-3 topics available for EVERYONE to review. We will also provide an online link where everyone can give their feedback. Then, based on your feedback we can make the needed adjustments. You are important to this process and we need more time for you to be involved!
#6 - SPECIAL DISCOUNTS COMING
To help with this delay, we’re offering a sale on the Living and Family Grace workbooks starting Memorial Day weekend (2019) lasting until June 21. We’re dropping the price from $16.99 to $14.99! We hope this is a blessing for everyone!
